My Favorite Low-Sodium Family Meal Recipe

Low Sodium meals are a great way to keep your family healthy.  Since becoming pregnant that has become a major priority for me.  I want to make sure that I do everything right in this pregnancy and then I will also continue after the baby is born and teach my child to eat healthy.  Today I am going to share with you my favorite recipe for a low sodium family meal.  Hope you enjoy.

My Recipe for:

TURKEY MEATLOAF

Ingredients:

1 pound ground turkey
1 small (chopped) onion
2 tbsp wheat flour
4 tbsp barbecue sauce
2 tbsp Mrs. Dash Caribbean Citrus Seasoning Blend
2 Eggs

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

In a large bowl, add chopped onions, ground turkey, Mrs. Dash Caribbean Citrus Seasoning Blend, eggs, wheat flour, and 2 tbsp barbecue sauce. Mix well with your hands.

Shape in a meatloaf form, top with remaining barbecue sauce, and bake for 40 minutes.

I prefer Mrs. Dash seasoning over all other seasonings because it is salt free, all natural, and has no MSG. MSG stands for Monosodium Glutamate.   It is a common food additive and it is known to cause headaches, nausea, and other unpleasant symptoms.  Being pregnant I already have many of those symptoms so I definitely don't need some food additive making them worse.

Another benefit of Mrs. Dash seasoning is all of the wonderful flavors that are available.  Along with Mrs. Dash Caribbean Citrus blend, there is also: Mrs. Dash Fiesta Lime Seasoning Blend, Mrs. Dash Garlic and Herb Seasoning Blend, Mrs. Dash Extra Spicy Seasoning Blend (one of my personal favorites as I like all things spicy), Mrs. Dash Italian Medley Seasoning Blend, Mrs. Dash Lemon Pepper Seasoning Blend, Mrs. Dash Original Blend, Mrs. Dash Table Blend, Mrs. Dash Onion And Herb Seasoning Blend, Mrs. Dash Southwest Chipotle Seasoning Blend, Mrs. Dash Tomato Basil Seasoning Blend, Mrs. Dash Chicken Grilling Seasoning Blend, Mrs. Dash Hamburger Grilling Blend, and Mrs. Dash Steak Grilling Blend.  All together that is a wonderful assortment of 15 different flavors from Mrs. Dash.  And that's just the seasoning..

Mrs. Dash also makes 6 wonderful marinades.  They add just the right flavor to chicken, beef, pork, vegetables, or (in my opinion) pretty much anything. Like all seasonings from Mrs. Dash they are made with an all natural blend of 14 herbs and spices.  Mrs Dash marinades come in the following flavors: Mrs. Dash Mesquite Grill 10 Minute Marinade, Mrs. Dash Southwestern Chipotle 10 Minute Marinade, Mrs. Dash Zesty Garlic Herb 10 Minute Marinade, Mrs. Dash Lemon Herb Peppercorn 10 Minute Marinade, Mrs. Dash Spicy Teriyaki 10 Minute Marinade, and Mrs. Dash Garlic Lime 10 Minute Marinade.  Great flavors for great food.

Hungry yet? I am.. This pregnant woman is done with the blog for now.. Think I'll go make me something and include some wonderful Mrs. Dash ingredients.
